Creative Workshops in Glasgow
Get creative, try something new, and leave with something you’ve made yourself. Rigma Studio’s creative workshops in Glasgow are relaxed, hands-on sessions designed for everyone, whether you’re already creatively inclined or haven’t made anything since school.
Based at our studio in Maryhill, Glasgow, our workshops are all about learning through making, meeting people and enjoying the process without the pressure of needing previous experience. Come along to unwind after work, meet new people, spend a relaxing evening doing something creative on your own, plan a fun creative date, or catch up with friends and bond over making something together.
Everything you need is included, from materials and equipment to light bites and drinks, so you can simply turn up and get stuck in. In most sessions, you’ll also leave with something you’ve made to take home, and hopefully a new skill or two as well
Our programme changes throughout the year, bringing different creative experiences to the studio and other accessible venues. No previous experience is needed, and Rigma Studio is wheelchair accessible.
You’ll find us at Unit 1B, 55–65 Firhill Road, Maryhill, Glasgow, G20 7BE. Explore the current programme below and find something you’d like to make.
Season 1 Episode 2: Book Binding
Discover the craft of making books by hand in this relaxed, hands-on introduction to bookbinding. You’ll learn two different binding techniques, exploring how pages can be folded, assembled and bound step by step to create your own handmade books. By the end of the evening, you’ll have made two different books to take home, along with the skills to keep experimenting with bookbinding yourself.
We'll provide all the materials, guidance, light refreshments and snacks;
